UK Family Holidays: Cornwall’s Beaches

There’s no denying the fact that holidaying in Britain is once again fashionable as families tighten their budgets and choose to enjoy the delights of their own country rather than jetting off abroad. One of the top destinations for UK family holidays is Cornwall, the UK’s southernmost county with an extensive coastline that boasts some of the best beaches in Britain.

It’s easy to see why UK family holidays in Cornwall are so popular; for one, the beaches are of a magnificent standard. Secondly, it’s understandable why so many people are being put off holidaying abroad. The volcanic ash cloud which first swarmed over British skies in early 2010 caused travel chaos for thousands of holiday makers, with many people either having to miss their holidays completely or getting stranded abroad for many days. The uncertainty of the situation has made the idea of UK family holidays very appealing as there is no risk of flight cancellations.

Cornwall’s beaches

The North Cornwall coastline offers some fantastic beaches including some top destinations for surfers such as Boobys Bay; a sandy beach full of rock pools which provide endless intrigue for children. The beach itself is quite difficult to access; when the tide is low you can walk to it from a neighbouring beach or climb down from the coastal parks over rocks.

One of the most famous Cornish destinations is Bude. Situated on the North Cornwall coast, Bude is a thriving resort with rugged cliffs, sandy beaches and excellent surfing and water sports potential. There are eight main beaches to be found, with many smaller coves. It’s easy to while away the summer days here relaxing on the sand.

In the south of Cornwall is an area called The Lizard; a small peninsular and home to Lizard Point which is the most southerly point in Britain. There are many small beaches and coves around this area, and some gorgeous little fishing villages such as Coverack, which has a harbour and its own beach formed from both sand and pebble.

West Cornwall is the most remote area of the county, but there are still plenty of excellent beaches such as Gwithian Towans which is huge draw for both surfers and families alike for its excellent Kamagra Soft waves and miles of sand. Another beach particularly worthy of a mention here is Carbis Bay Beach, a naturally protected beach that boasts beautiful white sand and benefits from facilities located close by.

This is of course only a small sample of Cornish beaches, but even so, it’s easy to see why with a choice like this that the county No prescription cialis is such a popular destination for UK family holidays.
