Why You Should Invest In Good Quality Camping Equipment

As with most things in life, ‘you get what you pay for’ and investing in good quality will pay off in the long run. Whether you are a seasoned camper, a once a year festival attendee or are going on your first camping holiday it is worthwhile investing in good quality camping equipment. I am sure that for seasoned campers this goes without saying but for the occasional and first time campers it may be tempting to go for the value option. In the long run this will actually cost more.

For example, the once a year festival goer may think it would be easier to buy a cheap camping tent, sleeping bag and head torch and just leave them there rather than bother to carry them home. To me this seems ridiculous but a friend of mine does it, every year! It would be much more cost effective and comfortable to buy a decent, small packing, camping tent and sleeping bag and use it every year. I am not advocating spending hundreds of pounds either, just spend 50 pounds as opposed to 15 pounds, after four trips you have got your money’s worth.

A non-enthusiastic first time camper is unlikely to want to pay a lot of money for camping equipment that they do not expect to use again. However, the quality of the camping equipment you buy can affect the extent to which you enjoy the trip. For example, you are unlikely to have a good time if you buy a cheap camping tent which does not have the correct layers for insulation and a thin sleeping bag which will not keep you warm. Little extras such as a sleeping mat, a camping pillow, a rug and a lantern are also worthwhile investments if you wish to enjoy your camping trip. You never know, if you have the right equipment, company and weather you may become an fan of camping holidays.

Once you have got your camping equipment you will find that it can be pretty useful and will not just sit in the cupboard for 11 months of the year. Your tent can act as a wind breaker on your next trip to the beach, your rug could be used for a picnic or to wrap round you during the almost warm summer nights in the garden and sleeping bags are always useful for having friends stay over. Camping chairs are great as extra garden furniture as the fold away to the size of a large umbrella when you don’t need them. You will find that once you have them they are useful all the time; you can take them to the children’s Sports Cialis Jelly Day, the beach, a picnic and any other outdoor event you can think of. The last time I went to Wimbledon tennis people were sitting on camping chairs in the queue, I was pretty jealous after the first forty five minutes!
