Cincinnati Bengals Tickets – Ochocinco and T.O. a Deadly Combo for Bengals

Terrell Owens’ decision to join Chad Ochocinco in Cincinnati could be even bigger news for football fans than the announcement of LeBron James’ hook-up with Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade in Miami with the NBA’s Heat. The Cincinnati Bengals have entered the race to score T.O. in the free agency before the start of the 2010-11 NFL season, leaving many football fans intrigued (and possibly even scared) at the thought of the potential for T.O. and Ochocinco to unite on the same team.

Owens is a beast on the football field as a prolific receiver and is a heralded player based on talent alone, but it’s his off-field antics and overshadowing ego that make him an undesirable candidate for many teams around the league. T.O.’s last year in Buffalo with the Bills was less than thrilling and his previous year in Dallas was even less so, but could Cincinnati really be a place where the big-personality receiver could revive his career?

Taking a look at Cincinnati’s offense, it seems fully plausible for Terrell Owens to make a career for himself with the Bengals. Even though the team chose WR Antonio Bryant over T.O. earlier this offseason, the combination of Bryant, Ochocinco and Owens could be dynamic, especially with quarterback Carson Palmer looking to light things on fire this season.

Still, Owens has taken harsh criticism from football analysts over the last few years, particularly during his tenure with the Dallas Cowboys. Occasionally referred to as a “locker room cancer,” Owens’ trumping ego has taken a toll on team chemistry from time to time. This isn’t dissimilar to the attention Chad Ochocinco has garnered, with egotistical tendencies getting in the way of the actual football game.

Ochocinco’s huge personality is obviously enough in Cincinnati, but would the addition of T.O. in Bengals gear be too much to handle? Not if you ask No. 85 himself. Ochocinco has been lobbying for Owens Tadacip via his outlandish Twitter account in recent days, posting pleas such as: “Dear twitter do you all understand the impact that @terrellowens would have on our team as a presence let alone a great player? Seriously?” He also tweeted a message to Owens himself, saying: “@terrellowens I will pay your fines this year also, I will take a pay cut! Wait, nevermind that last comment, I’m just excited. Let’s go!”

While the combination of Owens and Ochocinco both in Cincinnati could be an explosive one, it’s also a partnership sure to sell Cincinnati Bengals tickets like crazy this season. As for now, it looks like the Bengals have extended an offer to Owens and it’s now up to the receiver to make his move.

A decision is expected to be announced soon, but Owens’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, hasn’t revealed anything as of July 27. “There are certainly some other possibilities we’re looking into right now,” Rosenhaus told NFL.com. “The most accurate thing to say right now is that we’re in discussions with Cincinnati. It would be exciting if we could get something done, but it’s too early for me to say that. There is a pretty good chance it will play out one way or another within the next 48 hours.” Terrell Owens to Cincinnati? Chad Ochocinco hopes so!
