Ties for Splendid Fashion Statements

The neck tie is the essential accessory for the formal dressing. A proper tie that complements the dress and suits the occasion is the perfect style statement. The suitability of tie changes with the location, occasion and the time. The choice of a tie differs from a geographical location to another. In the US, the people prefer light weight neck ties while in the UK the thicker ties are more popular. The different occasion calls for different types of ties. The marriage ceremony, a corporate engagement or a formal get together requires different sets of ties. The colors, fabrics and patterns of the tie change according to the fashion trends every year.

The origin of the neck tie dates back to the “Thirty Years War” in the years 1618 to 1648. During the war, the Croatian mercenaries joined the French service. The Croatians used to wear their traditional small, knotted piece of cloth around the neck. This Croatian accessory grabbed the attention of the citizens of Paris. Soon men and women started to wear the piece of cloth around their necks, imitating the Croatians. The piece of garment was called the “Cravat”. The fashion craze for cravats soon crossed the boundaries of France and spread throughout the Europe. The cravat has evolved a lot to become the modern day tie, as we know it today.

Selecting the correct tie is an up the hill task. There are lots of things that should be considered before making the choice. First of all, the fabric of the tie should be selected. The three major fabrics employed to make ties are; silk, polyester and polyester satin. Silk is a fabric that ensures natural smoothness and gloss. It is also long lasting, but the costs of silk ties are higher. The polyester and polyester satin are the man made fabrics and is cheaper in comparison. The ties made of polyester are not long lasting. Once the fabric is selected, attention should be given to the length of the tie. A long tie on a shorter man or vice versa is an eye sore. The perfect length of the tie for an individual is when it comes down a maximum of half inch only below the belt line.

The colors of the tie have a critical role to play. The color of the tie should be able to balance and harmonize the dress the person is wearing. A white shirt is the best bet to wear a tie of any color. The white Viagra Professional shirt makes any colored tie look appropriate on it. If the person is wearing a colored shirt then the color of the tie should be used to create a contrast with it. Tie of lighter color is appropriate with a dark colored shirt and a dark colored tie goes well with the lightly colored shirt. If the shirt is checkered or striped, the wearer is advised to use a tie that portrays the dominant color in the shirt. Selecting the perfect tie gives immense satisfaction and increases the dressing sense of the individual.
