The second tip is dress code. You should dress appropriately. It is always assumed that the correct dress code is business formal attire. For the male specie, a long sleeved shirt dress with neck tie, formal pants and shinny leather shoes will be the prescribed outfit. However, there are times that you need to put on a coat. There is no harm in bringing along a formal coat. For the ladies, you have also to dress-up in a business formal with blazers and pump shoes. Never report for an interview with unkempt hair. And again, never over do your make-up and keep your jewelry in control. Do not wear strong perfume, maybe just a light scent. You do not want to be branded as over-doing yourself. This will be a negative point.

And lastly, know something about the company or the person who will handle your interview. Keep your eye contact with him or her and show your interest without going to the extent of being arrogant. You should ask some surface questions and in some little way you have to make an impression which can set you apart from the other applicants. Show genuine interest.
