Best Las Vegas Grand Canyon July 4th Holiday Bus Tours

If you\’re going to Las Vegas this July 4th holiday weekend, make sure you do a bus tour to the Grand Canyon. Tours leave once a day and go to either the West Rim or the South Rim but if you are serious about going for it make sure you book in advance as these road trips are typically sell out during vacations like this one.

Daily Tours

You\’d better be an early riser because bus tours leave daily at around 7 a. M. And if you like awesome road trips, even better because these tours get you back to Vegas around 9 p. M. After a day of incredible adventure. Do keep this return time in mind if you intend to do something afterward and understand that all times are approximate.

Vegas bus tours go to the West Rim and the South Rim. The West Rim is 125 miles from town and the South Rim is 277 miles. Both tours follow the same route and include a photo-stop at Hoover Dam. If you want more time at the Dam, I recommend you book a separate tour on a separate day for it

West Rim tours will take the now all-paved road to the Skywalk complex while South Rim travelers will continue on eastwardly and deeper into Arizona until they reach the town of Tusayan, which lies directly outside the front gates of the National Park. Both tours include all fees and taxes and Park entrance fees.

West Rim

At West Rim, you\’ll have about 2.5 hours to explore the area. There\’s free shuttle bus service that goes from Eagle Point to Guano Point, of which I encourage you to take advantage. Basic tours don\’t include a ticket to the Skywalk but you can purchase the ticket upon arrival. However, if you know you want to do the Skywalk, I recommend buying a package that comes with the ticket.

The Skywalk is an international phenomena and Las Vegas\’ #1 outdoors attraction. It\’s an all-glass platform bridge that lets travelers walk a whopping 70 feet over the edge until they are suspended some 4K feet over the bottom. The views from the bridge are breathtaking and if you get the chance to do it I strongly recommend you go for it.

South Rim

The South Rim bus tour gives you up to 2.5 hours to check out the Park. In that time, which in my opinion is sufficient, you\’ll get to experience such famous sites like Mather Point, Yaki Point, Yavapai Point and Grand Canyon Village, which hosts a bevy of great restaurants and souvenir shops (I recommend you check out the Hopi House – it\’s fabulous!).

Vegas bus tours are all-inclusive and come with all taxes and fees and lunch and a driver guide. Buses are new and come equipped with an on-board restroom, plasma TV\’s, Wi-Fi, climate control and a guide who knows the road and the canyon like the back of his hand. Like I\’ve said in the past: bus tours are the ultimate option for budget travelers.

Conclusion

I hope this article about July 4th Las Vegas bus tours to the Grand Canyon helped as you plan your vacation. Both the West Rim and the South Rim are awesome places. There basic and deluxe bus tours, and with the later you can add side trips like helicopter rides, float tours and VIP Skywalk tickets. Just remember to book early if you trip falls during the holiday week. Based on past years, these tours will sell out.
