Rascal Flatts Tickets – New Single and New Label Home for Rascal Flatts

Country music fans have been waiting to see where Rascal Flatts would land since the band’s original label Lyric Street Records announced plans to close its doors in April. The Disney-owned label left a promotions team in place to work singles to radio but Lyric Street is now shut down for good, and Rascal Flatts held a press conference in Nashville on July 29 to announce their new label home: Big Machine Records.

The Boot reports that Rascal Flatts will join artists like Taylor Swift, Steel Magnolia, Jack Ingram and Trisha Yearwood at Big Machine Records, and Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus joked, “I’m just thrilled that Taylor let us on the label” at the press conference. Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney added, “It just feels right. It’s a successful label. It’s a young label. It’s a hip label. They’ve had a lot of success, and it just felt like it was a perfect fit.”

When it was first announced that Lyric Street was folding, an initial idea was for Rascal Flatts to move to another label imprint within the Disney group. The group did have a lot of memories with the label, as Lyric Street released Rascal Flatts’ first single, “Prayin’ for Daylight,” back in 2000.

Recalling how surprised the guys of Rascal Flatts were when they heard the news, lead singer Gary LeVox told The Boot, “I was actually on my way to the studio when we found out that Lyric Street had shut down. We were so pumped and thrilled about the body of work on the Nothing Like This album, and it just took the wind out of us because we had no idea. We knew the music that we created for this project was outstanding. So, our biggest fear was it would never be heard … your whole entire world had crumbled at that point.”

It was eventually Scott Borchetta, Big Machine Records’ President and CEO, who led Rascal Flatts to sign with their new label. The band had a longtime relationship with Borchetta and previously recruited Taylor Swift (who Borchetta discovered when she was just 14!) to tour with them, so it felt like a natural fit for Rascal Flatts. Said LeVox, “We’ve always had a really good relationship [with Big Machine]. Their work ethic and what their goals are and how they run a business is the exact same way we run our business … the future is going to be incredible!” Cialis Jelly

It was Scott Borchetta that had the honor of announcing Rascal Flatts’ new single, fittingly titled “Why Wait.” Released on July 29, the single is the group’s first off their forthcoming new album Nothing Like This, which will arrive on Nov. 16 via their new label. Fans with Rascal Flatts tickets may be treated to a performance of “Why Wait” live, as the band is currently on the road on tour.

The trio has dates lined up through October and fans can see them in cities like Columbus, Ohio; Hershey, Pa.; Bristow, Va.; Camden, N.J.; Mansfield, Mass.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; Mountain View, Calif.; Phoenix, Ariz. and more.
