Why do some folks hate winter time so much? I for one love winter, now I don\’t care much for the heat bill, but as far as the snow, and the cold and the other things the season provides, it\’s wonderful to me.

You should learn to use the cold, snowy winter to your advantage instead of a means for depression. One thing I learned years ago, is the more it snows, the happier it is for me. Your probably thinking this person is a lot different then I am, aren\’t you? Will, that is what makes folks like we are, were all humans but we all have different likes and dislikes. Now, let me get back to this articles subject which is; \” How to fight the winter blues while you earn some cash at the same time \”\’

Before I continue I must say, it does not matter if you are a male or female, but what does matter is where you live and the physical condition you are in. If you live in a town or city with lots of sidewalks, you have passed the first requirement. Now, are you in great physical shape, free from any heart problems, high blood pressure or other such conditions? If not, then this article and the activity described is not for you. To make sure if you can safely do the activity here, ask your Doctor if you can safely shovel snow.

When I was a youngster I loved shoveling snow, and now that I am middle aged I still love it even more. But, then again I am in good physical shape, I watch my weight and I walk a lot every day. When it snows most people will sit inside moping, and that\’s when the winter blues starts building up. Most folks hate shoveling snow and will gladly accept any reasonable offer from someone else to do the work for them. I used to live in town, and when I was home on snowy days, I grabbed a shovel and started heading down the street.

At homes that had snow covered sidewalks, I would ring the doorbell and ask them if I could shovel their walks for them, I did not set a price, and I did not tell them I would require a fee. You may ask up front for a set fee if you wish to do so, that is up to you. Once I got the sidewalk cleaned of snow, I would let the homeowner know I was finished and then they would always give me a few dollars. In just a couple hours or three I would head back home, feeling great from the exercise, with $30 – $40 in my pocket. Only one time, did I finished a job and not get paid money, instead I was given an apple which I happily took because I was hungry from shoveling. So, if you live around people, and are up to the physical challenge, grab a shovel and fight the winter blues while you earn some cash shoveling snow.
