– Cover your outdoor furniture when they are not yet used. This is a very simple task that would only take you a few minutes to accomplish.
– Keep them clean from debris and other dirty materials. By being constantly clean, they can last longer. Proper cleaning can be done two to three times a year using certain prescribed materials. There are wooden furniture cleaners that you can use but you need to follow instructions carefully to avoid possible damage to the furniture.
– Paint the furniture. This will add a bit of protection to your furniture to keep them from saturating under the rain. Wet furniture is exposed to saturation that would easily damage the wooden materials. Another reactive solution would be to dry up each piece before the moisture settles inside the gradients of the wood being used. Painting these pieces would also lighten them up.
– Rotten wood should be immediately taken cared of they would not look pretty on your furniture. Moreover, they might not be able to hold on much longer and they might no longer be strong enough to hold the weight of the people who would like to use them.
-Bleach would damage the wooden furniture. Thus, you need to use it sparingly such as when you would only remove moss from the piece.
