Learning to Make Decision For Yourself
The number one factor that would prevent any progress in your life is the failure to make a decision. Why is it necessary for you to make decisions in your life? First of all, making decision will give you a direction. When you are undecided, it leaves you without any direction. If you don’t make a decision when it comes to what you would want to happen in your life or where you would like your life to go to, nothing will happen. You will be stuck and you will have a hard time moving on if you are undecided. You need to make decisions so that you’ll know which direction to take and you’ll have an idea on what needs to be done for you to take that direction. The decisions you make must benefit yourself in achieving the things that you’d want to get hold of. Until you make the decision on where you would want to go in life, you are going nowhere.
When you make a decision, you will be able to start acting on it. It starts action. You’ll never be able to move forward unless you decide to do so. You may want to go travel, or go shopping but unless you make the decision to do so, unless you decide to take action, you’re not going anywhere. Decisions keep the wheels in your life turning. It helps you keep moving forward in your life. It helps you look into your future with assurance and stability. Procrastinating will only prevent you form moving forward, so there should be no room for that.
When you make a decision, it will create an action that will help you move forward in your life. Once this has happened, you have to still continually make decisions there after to keep moving forward. This is to make sure that you are making progress in your life. If you stop making decisions in the middle of moving forward, this could stop progress on it’s tracks.
There will always be consequences on the decisions that you make. When you decide to do something, you have to expect that something will happen. Even if you decide not to do something, you can still expect something to happen. Multiple consequences can also come out of a single decision and sometimes, you have to learn to take risks when you make a certain decision. Every time you make a decision, you’re actually taking a risk. If you realize later on that you’ve made a wrong decision, take responsibility for it, learn from it and move on. You have to learn to try out different things in order for you to grow and move forward in life.
Never try to find any excuses in delaying your decision. By doing so, you’re only delaying progress in your life. Time is of the essence and delaying making decisions can bring negative consequences in your life, and at some point it could be life threatening. There will be times that some opportunities you have to decide on only come up once in a while. And if you fail to make a decision right then and there, you might lose the chance to take hold of those opportunities forever.
We need to make decisions in order to gain direction in our lives. Decisions will also bring us progress and the key to making sure that progress continues, we have to constantly continue making decisions in our lives as well.
