Keeping Pests Out by Plugging In

Most of us do not like the thought of having anything crawling or biting in our midst, but this sometimes happens when we least expect it. Some of these creatures carry deadly diseases so it is imperative that we do all in our power to keep them as far away from us as possible. With this in mind, finding the perfect pest repeller is probably the best thing that we can do. High-tech methods to control this problem could be a sonic pest repeller which actually uses sound to keep those bugs at bay. Some of them will actually keep rodents out of the home too.

How these things work is to have high pitched noise, which is usually above what we humans can hear, which any bugs and rodents do not like. They cycle through each pitch to get as many bugs as possible on the run so these creatures also never get used to hearing one continuous sound also. The main advantage of using a gadget like this is that no one will have to be exposed to chemicals, used in sprays for the home or office buildings, since these can be quite toxic. In fact, there are those health officials who decry the use of chemicals at all and really try to get people to find different methods.

Those who have breathing problems will be unable to tolerate fine sprays anyway since these could worsen symptoms of their illness. Also, if there are pets in the home, they will often lick or breathe in these toxic fumes too and this is not good for them by any stretch of the imagination.

Clever inventors realized that the sound of something could keep bugs at bay some time ago but it is only in recent times that this has been used in a domestic setting. The small gadgets are plugged directly into the mains sockets so that they keep on going even though we cannot hear them. There are battery operated models too and these come in handy for those camping trips that we all like so much. Also for personal use, there are clip on gadgets that let out a high pitched whine. These are supposed to imitate a male mosquito and this usually keeps the females away from the wearer. Since she is the one who likes to bite and suck blood from us, she is the one who we do not want to see around the place. She is a silent killer since she also is the only one that spreads malaria too so it is very important to stay away from the female of the species.

For people who are keen to cleanse the atmosphere while keeping bugs at bay, there are some models which claim to clean bacteria from the environment at the same time. Again, this may be handy for people with asthma or some other kind of immune system so finding one of these is a great idea. It does not hurt to try anyway and they are priced at reasonable levels.
