Since these systems are internet based, it is also very easy for them to handle other internet based activities. One example of this kind of a service is that you can get an email notification anytime someone leaves you a voice message.

There is another benefit that results from the fact that the system is based on the internet, and it is one of the reasons these systems are becoming so popular. Since the call is being routed through the internet instead of the physical copper wires, there is really no difference between calling someone across the street or across the country. Plans of this type usually just include a minutes limit and don’t distinguish between local and long distance.
