Article Writing Skills 101 – What Not To Do When Writing Articles (This Will Kill Them)

If you are new to article writing, you may have asked what does it take to get an article published and read? Well, it is not rocket science but there are a few simple rules to follow. Sometimes it may seem a bit confusing… right? It is better to know what not to do before you begin than to have to find out the hard way by having articles constantly rejected or just not published. Here we will reveal article writing’s biggest mistakes!

1. Title capitalization and punctuation. The title must be written in title case. Title case consists of the first letter of each word being uppercase or less significant words can be lowercase. For example, “Article Marketing Is One Way To Make Money Online Fast” or “Article Marketing Kamagra Soft is One Way to Make Money Online Fast.” Either would be correct. This example, “Article marketing is one way to make money online fast” or “ARTICLE MARKETING IS ONE WAY TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE FAST” would be incorrect.

Watch punctuation in the title. You may use one “!” or “?” in your title, but do not end it in a period. Make sure your title matches your article. For example, if your article’s title is “3-Tips To…” make sure you do not include 5-tips. It would be fine to include 3-tips and a bonus, but the article and the title must match. Do not use excessive punctuation or surround your whole title with quotations either. This one will usually trip you up when you are new to writing articles, so pay close attention when writing your title.

2. No summary. You should start your article off with a summary or introduction paragraph. Do not begin with a subtitle, numbered or bulleted list. You must give the reader an overview or summary of what the article will be about. This will give the reader a chance to decide if he or she should read the article or not. The summary should be 2 to 5 sentences and no more than 200 words long.

3. Keyword stuffing. Be careful not to overuse a keyword in your title or article body. You should not use a keyword more than 1 to 2 times per hundred words of content. There are some great No prescription cialis tools online that will calculate your keyword density for you. You just copy and paste your article into one of these tools

and it will automatically calculate the key words and their density in the article. To find the tools, just do a Google search on “keyword analyzer” or “keyword density tool.”

4. Self-promotion and links. Do not promote yourself in your article body content. It is okay to include personal experiences, but no one wants to read about me, me, me. Do not hard sell either. If you are selling or promoting a product or service, do not do it in the article body. It is okay to present your product pitch in the resource box but not in the article body or summary.

Be careful including links in your content. You may use up to two links/URLs pointing to websites that you do not own or control. It is okay to refer to authoritative or governmental websites but no more than twice in the body of your article.

5. Length of your article body. Length of an article is another issue. When you first begin to write, it seems you can never get enough words on the page to complete an article. Later, as you become a better writer, your articles might become too lengthy. Article length can be between 200 and 5,000 words. It is best to try to keep your articles between 400 and 750 words. If the articles are too long, people will just get bored and stop reading before reaching the end of the article or publishers will refuse to publish the proscar propecia article.
