Carrie Underwood Tickets – Carrie Takes Home ACM Entertainer of the Year Award

You could say that Carrie Underwood is on a roll. The recently engaged country music star (who will wed NHL player Mike Fisher later on this year) is currently in the midst of a headlining tour in support cialis cheap of her latest album, Play On, recently celebrated her 12th consecutive No. 1 single and cleaned up at the 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, held in Las Vegas on April 19 and hosted by Reba McEntire. The Boot reports that Underwood joked, “I think I just got makeup all over Brad Paisley. Kim [Brad’s wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley], it was me. I’m sorry!” before continuing with her acceptance speech. “Thank you guys! Praise the Lord. Thank you Simon Fuller [and] everybody at 19 Entertainment, you guys mean so much to me. Thank you everybody at Arista. Joe [Galanta, departing chairman of Sony Music Nashville], we are going to miss you so much…everybody that’s been with my career from the beginning. Thank you Mike [Fisher, Carrie’s fiance]-I love you so much. Mom, my sisters, my family, fans-God bless you so much. Thank you country music. God bless country music.” Underwood beat out Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, George Strait and the Zac Brown Band for the honor.

Earlier on during the ACM Awards, Underwood was surprised with the Triple Crown award, which she received for winning Top New Artist, Top Female Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year in her career, which took off after she won the fourth season of American Idol. Billboard.com reports that Underwood told the audience at the ACMs, “Whenever I was on Idol I was just hoping to stay there for another week. That was as far as my calendar would go and I don’t think anybody could have possibly predicted any of this.” Underwood paid a visit to American Idol on April 21, performing “Change” off Play On.

Although the current leg of Carrie’s tour comes to a close in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on June 20, The Boot reports that after four music festival appearances in July Brand Viagra and August, she will reprise her road trip for 50 more dates beginning with a Portland, Ore. gig on Sept. 25.
