Making Sure You’re Seen

In many neighborhoods, you can find cyclists and pedestrians. Whether they are doing their morning jog, walking their dog, or riding their bicycle, there are always people outside using sidewalks.

Some people prefer different times of the day to take their daily walk. Usually depending on the Tadalis SX time that they wake up and go to bed.

If you exercise in the morning before you shower and get ready for the day, it usually works out better for some people unless you have to be at work early in the morning. Or you can wait until you come home from work to exercise Cialis because that is the only time that you have available.

Maybe you like to exercise outside in the morning because it is a little cooler than it is at noon. Or maybe you don’t like people to notice you very easily so you choose to run at night.

Whatever your reasons may be, you need to make sure that you consider all the safety rules to follow before you go outside. And make sure that you walk in areas that are safe to begin with.

Living in a college town for the past five years has taught me many things about pedestrians. A lot of college students are too poor to afford a car and so they end up walking everywhere.

These students without wheels seem to develop an attitude of resentment towards those with cars. I admit that I was a little jealous of my roommates that were able to have cars when I had to rely on the public bus and my own two feet.

I started to notice a lot of jaywalking from fellow pedestrians because they were too lazy to walk up to the stop sign. It was very surprising to see them walk right out into the street talking on a cell phone and not look down the street for oncoming cars.

Apparently these students were telling themselves that the drivers will see them and will stop for them. They neglected to think about how many things the drivers can’t see, especially when there are cars parked on the side of the street blocking the driver’s view even further.

As a result, pedestrians and drivers become annoyed with each other and make the problem worse. Pedestrians think that drivers should give them the right of way (always), while drivers think that the pedestrians should stop, look, and wait before crossing the street.

Being on both sides as a driver and a pedestrian, I realize that each of them have their own faults. Drivers do need to make sure that they follow all the traffic laws and drive the speed limit.

On the other hand, pedestrians should be a little more considerate of drivers on the road and look around at their surroundings. Put the cell phone down and watch out for cars.

There are a few things that you can to do to protect yourself from being hit by a car or run over by a cyclist. Remember that you are sharing the road with several other people.

Stay on the sidewalk whenever you can and follow the direction of traffic. Walk on the right side to allow others traveling faster than you to be able to pass you.

Make sure that you yield to traffic signs including stop signs and stop lights. Only cross streets when it is your turn and never assume that the cars will stop for you even if you have the right of way.

Something else that may seem embarrassing for you, but will really help drivers is to wear a safety vest that has reflectors. Whether you are outside in the dark or during cialis vs generic cialis the day, wearing a bright colored vest will help people driving cars to see you better and sooner than they would have.

There are a few places where you can find these vests to help you stand out in while traveling outside and also have light reflectors that you can put on your bike as well. But if that doesn’t work out, make sure that you wear bright colored clothing and stay on the sidewalks.

When you go to walk outside, you trust the people around you to be cautious. Help them out a little bit by doing as much as you can to keep yourself and them even safer.
