Popular Car Manufacturers And Their Famous Emblems

The very first mass produced and easily affordable car was the Ford Model T, which was first manufactured in 1908. Throughout the past 100 years, there have been a copious amount of car manufacturers who have been setup, many of which have developed their technologies throughout the years and are still in production today.

The following list looks at 4 different car manufacturers and the aspect of the company that they are arguably most known for – their emblem.

1. Starting with the company that produced the Model T, Ford’s emblem is and almost always has been simplistic but extremely fitting, with the word Ford wrote in a traditional handwriting font. Initially, the simple ‘Ford Motor Co.’ text was in a complex border, but the badge was simplified, removing the border and replacing it with a simple oval in 1912. From then onwards, the logo has evolved only slightly, adding a splash of blue to the background of the oval, as well as stretching it slightly.

2. The Mazda emblem is one of the most changed of any car manufacturer. First a simple ‘m’ symbol was used from 1962 to 1975 but was replaced from 1975 to 1991 with the word ‘Mazda’ in a futuristic looking font.

1991 to 1992 saw a diamond symbol in a circle, supposedly representing a flame in a sun, with a slight modification in 1992 which was used until 1997 (the diamond was made more circular).

The emblem that we know as Mazda’s today started being used in 1997 and has been used on every new car since.

3. Walk into Jaguar dealers, look at any official paperwork and you’ll see a picture of jaguar leaping over the word ‘Jaguar’. Simple and straightforward.

Take a look at the emblems on the actual cars in the Jaguar dealers, though and you may be a little confused, especially if you’re used to seeing older models.

Originally, Brand Cialis Jaguar used to have a beautiful emblem of a leaping jaguar centred on their bonnet, giving the car an appearance of luxury and quality. 4. The history behind the Ferrari logo is possibly one of the most interesting stories of any car manufacturer and relates directly the prancing horse and the initials S.F.

According to reports, the prancing horse was used after Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the company, won a race and had the opportunity of meeting with Countess Paolina, the mother of one of the most prominent people in the Italian Air Force, Count Francesco Baracca.

Countess Paolina suggested that Enzo paint a prancing horse on his car, exactly the same as Count Baracca did on his aeroplanes, to bring him good luck. Stating this in 1923, the habit continued and eventually developed into Viagra Professional the official badge.

And the S.F. initials? They stand for Scuderia Ferrari, the racing arm of Ferrari, which is where the modern day company evolved from.
