The original Broadway cast included Brian d’Arcy James as Shrek, Sutton Foster as Princess Fiona and Daniel Breaker as Donkey. The cast members for the national tour have not yet been announced.

While many people may label Shrek as simply a children’s show, the movie and the musical are both designed for audience members of all ages. Laugh along as Donkey rambles endlessly to his traveling companions, or “boo” the evil Lord Farquaad as he plans his upcoming nuptials to an unwilling Fiona. The comedic tale is a heart-warming love story that continues to grow as Shrek and Fiona find out that they share quite a few things in common, most importantly the color green.

Sing along to musical numbers like “This Is How a Dream Comes True,” “I Think I Got You Beat,” “Big Bright Beautiful World” and “This is Our Story” when you settle in for an evening at the theater.
