Vampire Weekend Tickets – Vampire Weekend Plots Next Tour

Vampire Weekend may be in the midst of a tour in support of the band’s sophomore album, Contra, but Spinner reports that they are already thinking about their next road trip. Spinner chatted with the guys from Vampire Weekend backstage at the recent Coachella Music Festival, held at Indio, California’s Empire Polo Field April 16 through 18, and drummer Chris Tomson revealed that the band may cover Kid Rock’s “All Summer Long” as well as some other Southern-tinged tracks in the future.

Along with Jay-Z, Them Crooked Vultures, Yeasayer, Passion Pit, LCD Soundsystem, She & Him, the Avett Brothers and others, Vampire Weekend performed on the first night of the 2010 edition of Coachella. The band performed before hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z on April 16, delivering a set list featuring songs from their 2008 eponymous debut as well as its follow-up. The band’s set list included the Peter Gabriel-esque “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa,” the autotuned Kamagra Soft song “California King” and new fan favorite “Cousins” off Contra. Spinner raved about Vampire Weekend’s Coachella set, saying the band “sounded more like veterans of Coachella than a band that has leapt into people’s heart in just three short years.”

Vampire Weekend wrapped up a recent round of concert dates in Oakland, Calif. on April 20 and will travel to New Zealand and Australia for the month of May. The band will return to the States for two U.S. festival appearances-at Sasquatch Music Festival and the Roots Picnic at Festival Pier on May 29 and June 5, respectively-before embarking on a string of concerts throughout Europe in cities like Inverness, Scotland; Nijmegen, Netherlands; Arendal, Norway; Werchter, Belgium; Lyon, France; Benicassim, Spain and a one-off date in South Korea’s Icheon City.

The band will be in good company at its upcoming U.S. festival gigs. Vampire Weekend will headline the Sasquatch Music Festival, held at the Gorge near Seattle over Memorial Weekend, along with MGMT, My Morning Jacket, Tegan and Sara, Passion Pit, the National, Broken Social Scene, LCD Soundsystem, Kid Cudi, Public Enemy and the recently reunited Pavement. Vampire Weekend will also lead the bill at the third annual Roots Picnic. The Philadelphia-based Roots as well as side projects from Roots’ drummer Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and rapper Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter will perform of the event, to be held on June 5. Also on the bill are Mayer Hawthorne, Clipse, Nneka, the Very Best and others.

Vampire Weekend will be back in the States in September for three dates in the band’s native New York at the famed Radio City Music Hall as well as a one-off date at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. September may seem like a long way away, but fans will want to get Vampire Weekend tickets online sooner than later because they are sure to sell out.

Speaking about the band’s upcoming gigs, frontman Ezra Koenig told Spinner, “I think in the fall we’re Levitra gonna try and play some places that we haven’t played before and that’s one of them. We’re playing three shows at Radio City, very exciting. Historically our band has always had the most fun playing outside. Being outside at nighttime, it’s a beautiful thing.” Whether Vampire Weekend is playing inside or out, fans are sure to turn up for the show!
