Visit Salt Lake City in the Fall

Most people think of taking a vacation in the summer. It is a good time because the kids are out of school.

However, it can get expensive to travel during the summer. Plus most places are hot and crowded.

Have you ever considered traveling in the fall? The weather is cooler and flights are usually more affordable.

You may have to take the kids out of school, but maybe it’s worth it. If you do decide to travel in the fall, a great place to visit is Salt Lake City.

This city has a lot of great attractions and events during the fall season and would be a great spot for your family to visit. One major plus about coming to Salt Lake City during the fall is it’s a very beautiful time of year there.

The trees start to Kamagra Soft change colors and the weather cools down a lot. You may even want to take a hike or go on a drive in one of the many canyons in Salt Lake to see the beautiful Levitra leaves.

During the month of September visitors can also go to the Utah State Fair. This huge fair lasts just over a week and has so much going on.

Guests will enjoy concerts, live entertainment, a rodeo, many exhibits, animals, food booths, rides and more. It’s an event you will not want to miss.

Fall is also a time for Halloween. This popular holiday is celebrated in many ways all over the Salt Lake Valley.

One attraction people love to visit during the fall is corn mazes. Huge fields of corn are turned into large mazes for visitors to find their way through.

For those looking for a scare, you can also visit a haunted corn maze. A few corn mazes in the area are the Crazy Corn Maze and Cornbelly’s Corn Maze & Pumpkin Fest.

If you love theme parks, then you will want to visit Lagoon, which is just 15 minutes north of Salt Lake City. During the month of October Lagoon has an event called Frightmares.

The whole park gets dressed up for Halloween and provides fun for all ages. Visitors can ride the roller coasters or check out one of the haunted attractions.

They even have some Halloween attractions for younger visitors that are not quite as scary. For those who do love to be scared, Utah also has its share of haunted houses.

A few popular haunted attractions in the area are Castle of Chaos, Nightmare Mansion, and Nightmare on 13th. There is also a haunted forest about 30 minutes south of Salt Lake for visitors who would prefer to be scared in an outdoor setting.

Another outdoor haunted attraction is the Haunted Village located at This is the Place Heritage Park. Guests will walk through the old pioneer village and may even see some interesting things lurking around.

This attraction is not recommended for children under the age of 10. However, across the street from the Haunted Village is Hogle Zoo.

During October they always put on a few events to celebrate the season, which may be much more appealing to the younger crowd. One of these events is “Boo at the Zoo” where kids can come dressed up and trick or treat on the zoo grounds.

Another great attraction for kids is Wheeler Farm. All throughout October this farm offers wagon rides and a pumpkin patch where kids can pick a pumpkin and decorate it.

Each weekend Ghost Tours in Salt Lake City are given. Travel by bus through the city as you are told of stories about the different ghosts who haunt the historic buildings and cemeteries in the city.

If you love going to shows, then check out Thriller put on by Odyssey Dance Theatre at Kingsbury Hall. This show features many favorite Halloween characters and is a thrill for all ages.

One more Halloween attraction to visit in Salt Lake City is Gardner Village. This village is full of shops and boutiques; however, during October the village is dressed up for the season.

Witches roam the grounds and fun activities happen each weekend. Lastly, if you happen to be in Salt Lake during the month of November, the day after Thanksgiving is always when the beautiful Christmas lights at Temple Square are turned on.
