Black Eyed Peas Tickets – Black Eyed Peas Land on Top Tours Lists

The first half of 2010 is over, and it hasn’t been an easy time for music tours. Many of the top stars of various genres have either canceled tour dates or simply not had the expected attendance. One group that is a contradiction to that norm is the Black Eyed Peas. Fergie, Will.I.Am, Aple.de.ap and Taboo have had quite the successful first half of 2010, evidenced by two lists put out by Pollstar.com. The lists are the “Top 100 North American Tours” and “Top 50 Worldwide Tours.” Both take into account dates from Jan. 1, 2010 to June 30, 2010.

The rank comes from total grossed on tour, and the Black Eyed Peas landed at number six on the North American list with a total gross of 29.5 million. The total comes from 35 shows in 34 different cities, and they sold a total of 464,201 tickets. Topping them on the North American list were Bon Jovi, James Taylor/Carole King, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney and George Strait/Reba McEntire/Lee Ann Womack. They ranked even higher on the worldwide tours list, coming in at number five with a total of 48.4 million. That total includes 53 shows in 46 different cities along with 734,540 tickets sold. Topping the Peas were AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Metallica and James Taylor/Carole King.

When Pollstar.com puts out an end-of-the-year list, chances are the Black Eyed Peas will also be on that list. They are currently on their E.N.D. world tour and they have dates lined up throughout the summer in North America. They will be hitting spots like Boston, Mass.; Atlantic City, N.J.; Baltimore, Md.; Saint Louis, Mo.; Calgary, AB and many other dates. Fans can see them live by getting Black Eyed Peas tickets online.

The foursome has another reason to celebrate in light of the 2010 Teen Choice Award Viagra Professional nominations. The 2010 Teen Choice Awards are voted on by fans, and the Black Eyed Peas have some of the most loyal fans out there. The awards show will air on Monday, Aug. 9 on FOX. They are nominated in the Choice Music: Group category along with the Glee cast, Selena Gomez & the Scene, New Boyz and Young Money. Their song “Rock That Body” was also nominated in the Choice Music: R&B Track category, and their album The E.N.D. is nominated in the Choice Music: Album – Pop category.

As the Black Eyed Peas have risen to fame, singer Fergie is perhaps the most successful of the foursome. She has even had pretty successful singles by herself. The success led to speculation that the Peas were breaking up, but according to MTV.com, Will.I.Am said that couldn’t be further from the truth. He explained, “She called me today. I talked to her today, I was like, ‘So, Fergie is it true that you’re leaving?’ She was like, ‘You’re a f—ing idiot!’ I was like, ‘You know I’m just jokin’ with you, pulling your leg.’ We ain’t going anywhere. It’s a family. People are reading into our vacation [schedules].” Fans are hoping it remains that way for years to come.
