CMA Music Festival Tickets – CMT Awards to Kick Off CMA Music Festival

On June 9 the 2010 CMT Awards kick off the annual CMA Music Festival held in, where else, the country music capital of Nashville. The Boot reports that on April 29 rock-meets-country star Kid Rock announced that he would host the awards show on his Facebook page, writing, “The rumors are true. I’m hosting the CMT Awards live from Nashville on June 9th… All I can promise is I will be awesome.” The CMT Awards will feature performances by multiple-nominees like Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert.

Country music fans can place their votes for the first round of voting until May 3, and on May 11 CMT will announced the final four nominees in each category. Fans can then participate in the second round of voting to decide the winner in each category until June 8. One of the most coveted awards is the Video of the Year honor, and for the 2010 CMT Awards, the race is a tough one. This year the nominees are Toby Keith for “American Ride,” Carrie Underwood for “Cowboy Casanova,” Lady Antebellum for “Need You Now,” Kenny Chesney for “Out Last Night,” Keith Urban for “‘Til Summer Comes Around,” Zac Brown Band for “Toes,” Jason Aldean for “The Truth,” Brad Paisley for “Welcome to the Future,” Miranda Lambert for “White Liar” and Taylor Swift for “You Belong with Me.”

Once all the awards are handed out and the red carpet is rolled up, country fans with CMA Music Festival tickets can get more of the music they love. Mother-daughter country duo the Judds will open the first day of the CMA Music Festival. According to The Boot, Naomi and Wynonna Judd will perform at the Riverfront Park Stage at 10 a.m. on June 10.

The Judds have a reunion tour and album coming up and the duo released a statement about their upcoming gig, saying, “We are totally psyched to get to kick off CMA Music Fest this year on the Riverfront Park Stage. We can’t wait Cialis to be live with fans and music lovers from across the country. It’s such a privilege to partner with CMA to spread the word about our final tour. Plan your life around it. The Judds are coming back.”

The CMA Music Festival has been showcasing the best country music has to offer since 1972, when it was known as Fan Fair. CMA Music Fest is different than other country-fried festivals because of its celebration of the close relationship between country artists and their fans. Fans that get CMA Music Festival tickets online will also be supporting a good cause, as half of the net proceeds from the festival are donated to the Keep the Music Playing Program, which supports music education in the Metro Nashville Public School System. In addition to seeing some of their favorite country artists perform live, those in attendance at CMA Music Fest can also meet the stars, as the festival hosts tons of meet-and-greet opportunities.

The lineup for the 2010 CMA Music Fest, which runs from June 10-13, reads like a who’s who in country music. Tim McGraw will perform at the event’s LP Field for the first time since 2001 and the bill also features Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Easton Corbin, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, Danny Gokey, Randy Houser, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins, Billy Currington, Justin Moore, Josh Turner and more.
