Exploring Utah’s Temple Square

Utah is a gorgeous state with a diverse land and plenty of things to do. One popular destination is in Salt Lake City and is known as Temple Square.

Temple Square is one of Utah’s most popular tourist destinations. It is three city blocks in downtown Salt Lake City that contain nearly twenty attractions that are all related to Mormon pioneer history and genealogy including the Salt Lake Temple, the Tabernacle, the Family History Library and much more.

This makes for a convenient way for visitors to see many attractions in Brand Levitra a short amount of time. You can of course take your time and stay as long as you like; it is also free for all the attractions so it is friendly to your vacation budget.

The Family History Library gives you access to the world’s largest collection of genealogical resources. If you have some time, you can spend an hour or two researching information on your own ancestors with the help of friendly volunteers that are available to help you through every step of the process if necessary.

The Family History Library is open Monday through Saturday. Stop in and discover more about your family and its history.

Also, the Deuel Pioneer Log Home is an opportunity to get a glimpse of pioneer life, the life of those who settled the Utah Valley. It is typical of the homes built in the Salt Lake Valley after it was settled in 1847, the first of which was built nearby by William Henry Deuel.

The Museum of Church History and Art is a place full of Church artifacts and representations. The museum features numerous hands on exhibits to enhance your experience, such as covered wagons like those used by the original pioneers.

There is also a model log home to demonstrate the look and feel of some of the first houses in Salt Lake City, Utah. Visitors can also see an 1830 edition of The Book of Mormon as well as historical actors, films and demonstrations.

This museum is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and on weekends and holidays from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. This is a fabulous opportunity for you and your family to break into the history and culture of Utah.

The Conference Center is a newer structure and is an architectural wonder. It is located just north of the temple and contains a 21,000 seat auditorium and an 850 seat theater.
