Justin Bieber Tickets – Justin Bieber Chooses Fans Over BET Awards

The BET Awards were held on Sunday, June 27, and one Best New Artist nominee was notably absent from the tenth annual awards show: Justin Bieber. The Canadian teen pop sensation is currently in the midst of his My World Tour and explained his absence via Twitter saying, “Rolled into Milwaukee for the show today…gonna be huge…22,000 people sold out. I heard. Missing everybody out in LA for the BET Awards. Just wanted to say I would have been at the awards, but this show was booked before the nominees came out, and I don’t cancel shows.” Fans with Justin Bieber tickets were likely happy he didn’t cancel his Milwaukee appearance, even if he did have to miss the BET Awards.

Although Justin Bieber lost the Best New Artist honor at the BET Awards to Nicki Minaj, the gracious young singer is quoted by MTV News as saying, “I would never cancel a show and let down the fans unless I had to…but I do wish I was there too, because I am honored just to be nominated but just goes to show that music is COLOR BLIND! It is the universal language, and good music brings us all together…the way it should be.” Bieber also gave a shout to his mentor Usher, who performed at the BET Awards, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and hosted by Queen Latifah.

Bieber and Usher recently joined forces for the remix of Bieber’s “Somebody to Love.” The video for the Usher remix of the hit song premiered on June 17 on the dance reality show competition So You Think You Can Dance and Billboard.com reports that in the clip, “Bieber tackles his toughest choreography yet” and “lines up with his dancers to do some intricate moves with backpacks, recalling Usher’s own chair-ography in his ‘You Make Me Wanna’ clip from 1997.”

Justin Bieber’s recently-launched tour lucky didn’t conflict with the Much Music Awards, held on June 20 in Toronto, as the teen heartthrob walked away with three awards in each of the categories for which he was nominated. Billboard.com reports that Bieber took home awards for UR Fave Video and UR Fave New Artist for “Baby” featuring Ludacris (beating out Toronto native Drake) and Best International Video by a Canadian for his hit debut single, “One Time.” The Stratford, Ontario-born artist told the audience after winning the latter, “It’s my first award, and to have it in Canada is just amazing.” Next up, Drake will compete against Jason Derulo, Drake, Usher and Adam Lambert in the Choice Music: Male Artist category at the upcoming Teen Choice Awards.

Bieber is selling out arenas across the nation for his tour, which is in support of his debut album, My World 2.0. Since arriving in November 2009, My World 2.0 has been spawning hit singles-like “One More Time” and “Baby”-and lighting up the charts. Fans can get Justin Bieber tickets to see him perform in cities like Cincinnati, OH; Minneapolis, MN; Grand Prairie, TX; Tulsa, OK; Broomfield, CO; Portland, OR; Oakland, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Memphis, TN; Sunrise, FL; Charlotte, NC; Toronto, ON; Providence, RI; Syracuse, NY through September online.
