Kathy Griffin Tickets – Kathy Griffin Mourns Levi’s Engagement

Comedian Kathy Griffin knows how to find the funny in any situation. Sometimes the best part of her humor is that some people just don’t get it. One person who doesn’t seem to get the red-haired funny woman is Levi Johnston. Johnston, as any gossip buff could confirm, is the baby daddy of Bristol Palin’s son Tripp. Bristol Palin is the daughter of former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin from Alaska.

Bristol’s pregnancy was notoriously announced during the campaign with Levi by her side. The two subsequently went through a fairly ugly breakup, and Levi went out searching for the spotlight. Griffin capitalized on his newfound fame by bringing him as her date to the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. It was obviously a joke when she paraded him around, but the young man appeared oblivious. For an episode on her hit show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, Griffin traveled to his home state of Alaska. She and Levi went ice fishing and Griffin also knocked on Sarah Palin’s door.

Johnston must have forgotten what a great time he had with Griffin on their ice-fishing adventure, as he and Bristol recently appeared on the cover of US Weekly to announce that not only were they back together, they are also engaged. They also gave an interview to the magazine, where they revealed they hadn’t yet told their parents of the engagement. Sarah Palin and the rest of the Palin crew, along with Johnston’s family, found out the same way everyone else did: by reading the magazine.

As the saying goes, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned (even a woman fake-scorned, it seems), and Griffin took to her website to react to the news. She posted a video full of crocodile tears and shots of Johnston’s Playgirl spread. The soundtrack to her emotional video is the appropriate Celine Dion classic “All By Myself.” She also uses the video to plug her books and her show, which only add to the hilarity of the video.

Griffin did show her serious side on the subject when interviewed by The Insider. She broke character and offered her well wishes, “I’m sure I’ll be going to the wedding, if not officiating. You just never know with Levi.” On the legitimacy of the announcement, she said, “He spoke very highly of her, he always did, and I think he was in love with her the whole time — as he should be.” No word yet on when the wedding will take place.

Griffin also uses her comedy to further causes she believes in, evidenced by her March 18 appearance in Washington, D.C. to call for the end of the U.S. military’s policy toward homosexuals, Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. The trip was shown on a Levitra Professional recent episode of her television show. Griffin is also taking the time to have live dates throughout the summer in cities like Austin, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and many more.
