Lilith Fair Tickets – Lilith Returns after 11 Years

The Lilith Fair lineup continues to grow, as artists like Norah Jonas, the Go-Gos, Kelly Clarkson, Selena Gomez and more have been added to the North American touring festival. With a complete list of tour dates cialis cheap announced in early April, the 37-city jaunt will open June 27th in Calgary and close in mid-August in Dallas, Texas. A slew of top recording artists – both female solo acts and female led super groups – will take part in the event that marks a return of the fair, which first ran in 1997. As one of the late ’90s top grossing festivals and leading female music festival, Lilith Fair tickets won’t be housed online for long.

Besides welcoming some of the most diverse acts in its history, the Lilith Fair is also launching the program Lilith Local Talent Search, a 2010 premiere that locally searches for some of North America’s best talent and promotes them with stage time. By way of Lilith and OurStage.com, over 2,000 new artists had submitted their sound hoping that fans will vote. Much like former local acts Christina Aguilera, Nelly Furtado and Tegan and Sara, these local acts will get a chance to perform on the stages of Lilith Fair when the tour comes to their city, opening their sound to thousands of fans.

Confirmed acts include McLachlan (the festival founder who will perform at every stop), Martina McBride, the Bangles, Suzanne Vega, Miranda Lambert, Rihanna (for the Salt Lake City performance), Sheryl Crow, Colbie Caillat, Erykah Badu, Cat Power, Mary J. Blige, Heart, Ke$ha, Metric and many more. Following its 11-year hiatus, the Lilith Fair will continue to support some amazing charitable organizations while promoting the female musician. Created by Canadian pop superstar McLachlan in 1997, the “Angel” singer worked with Nettwerk Music Group’s Dan Fraser and Terry McBride and New York talent agent Marty Diamond to create the festival over a decade ago. Focused solely on female performers, the traveling event performed for just three years and yet raised $10 million for local and national charities.

This year marks a return of this powerful festival, as Lilith has teamed up with Involver for the “Choose Your Charity” audience campaign agreement via Facebook. The contest will allow tour participants to choose which local women’s charity Lilith will donate, by Facebook vote. For every ticket, one dollar will be donated to the chosen local charity with a presentation by McLachlan herself. “Using our platform, Lilith is proving that social media and Facebook in particular is a powerful tool for national brands to engage effectively with passionate local communities,” Involver CEO and co-founder Rahim Fazal said in a press release.

Terry McBride, another co-founder of the festival, added, “Since its inception the Lilith founders have made it a priority to respect the cities that host the festival, and giving back to the local communities is a huge part of that.”

McLachlan, who hasn’t toured in years, will release her first non-holiday studio album The Laws of Illusion in June, with a new single set to be released just days before the first Lilith date.
