Country music megastar Martina McBride is a vivacious artist known for her upbeat tunes and incredible vocal talent, and her summertime months are already booked solid in 2010. McBride will provide headlining entertainment at various locations across the country this summer as she finishes the Shine All Night Tour with Trace Adkins and embarks upon touring dates of her own, but the country darling is spending her time in other places than just amphitheaters.

McBride is also taking the opportunity to get immersed in wine culture this spring and summer. She recently explored the merlots and cabernets of the world at the 11th Annual T.J. Martell Foundation’s Eco-Energy Best Cellars Dinner, which paired Nashville’s “best sellers” (artists) with the city’s “best cellars” (wine). The event, which featured a gourmet dinner and live auction, raised $416,000 for cancer research at the nearby Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.

Speaking to The Boot about the Nashville soiree, McBride said, “It’s a great event. It’s a time where we can hang out with our peers and people in the business and drink amazing wine that we’d never get the opportunity Kamagra jelly to drink and raise money for T.J. Martell. So, it’s just a win-win.”

While she took a time-out from her rigorous touring schedule to attend a charity wine event in Nashville to benefit cancer research in late April, McBride was back on the road in no time, rounding out her last batch of dates with Trace Adkins on the Shine All Night Tour. A slew of summer concert dates have been announced for McBride’s summer jaunt, however, and the “Wrong Baby Wrong” vocalist will make another wine-splashed appearance in the near future.

McBride will perform this summer at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Calif. on July 26. At the event, she’ll join a crop of other mainstream talent to migrate to the winery over the next few months. Other country music acts such as Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, His Large Band and Steep Canyon Rangers will also perform headlining gigs at Mountain Winery this summer, and Martina McBride’s late-July refresher at the winery will once again put her in good company with vineyards and flowing wine.
