There is a general mistaken belief that hypnosis is a form of unconsciousness which is like sleep. But the fact that it is a wakeful state of concentrated attention is proved by researches. The stimulation of creative faculties take place in this psychological process along with the establishment of concentrated thinking, feeling and perception.

Basically there are four main brave wave patterns which are the frequency of electrical impulses firing from the brain, identified through the data collected by EEGs. Their argument is based on the fact that most intelligent people would be creative also. Creative people would definitely respond to hypnotic suggestions and hypnotists’ language.

Strong association exists between the ease of putting someone in a trance and his level of suggestibility. In such a condition, he may even accept the facts which would be refused otherwise. In the present scenario, hypnosis is used in the arena of education, sports, medicine, entertainment and forensic sciences, to name a few.
