Don’t:

Replace one bad habit with another: As mentioned, you will need something in exchange for the habit that you are giving up. Don’t replace it with something more damaging like weed smoking or indulging yourself in eating sprees whenever you feel the “nicotine hunger” kicking in.

Give up: It will probably take you a few tries before you get on the right track. Don’t get frustrated and just keep trying. If you do fail during your first tries, use them as a basis for where you went wrong with the approach and try to improve.
