The Arcade Fire Tickets – Prepares for Release of Third Album

Despite the release of their third coveted album being just moments away, the Canadian cult favorite Arcade Fire had kept the latest set, titled The Suburbs, under wraps. That is, until the group performed just a few tracks from their highly commercialized August release during a show at Hackney Empire in London in early July.

The group performed eight new tracks from the album mostly in preparation for two of the UK’s biggest festivals, the Reading and Leeds Festivals at which they are set to perform, reports MTV. The new release will coincide with the long awaited United States tour, running Aug. 1-11 in cities that include Boston, Philadelphia and New York. The Suburbs follows Arcade Fire’s 2007 sophomore set Neon Bible, which debuted at the second spot on Billboard’s 200 chart and has sold over 421,000 copies. Since beginning work on the new set with longtime producer Markus Dravs (who worked on Neon Bible) about six months ago, fans have been waiting anxiously. The early July performances were the first from the group in several months, instantly upping the excitement for dedicated followers who are eagerly awaiting new tunes. According to the latest Twitter message from the group, they had “just completed 10 days on the best album I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on.”

The hush-hush mentality has rung true throughout the entire recording process, according to ABC News. The Canadian rockers own their own recording studio, master recordings and publishing rights, among other avenues, that allow them to maintain totally secrecy. Rumors have been circulating that the group has even brought on Polaris Prize winning composer Owen Pallett for the new record, their first in three years. Their do-it-yourself approach has kept critics and fans guessing what will be next for the indie rock stars.

“They march to the beat of their own drum, and people really respond to that,” C3 Presents promoter Huston Powell said, who booked the group for their first appearance at Lollapalooza back in 2005. “I wish for the whole music industry there were 10 more Arcade Fires out there.”

While there is a slight possibility similar rock outfits are in existence, none have rocketed to such commercial stardom as Arcade Fire. The group that has said “it is in our DNA to be a live band,” formed in 2003 by the now husband and wife team of Win Butler and Regine Chassagne. The group found global success two years later after their music, established in the September 2004 full-length debut Funeral, became a popular radio request. Immediately after its release Arcade Fire’s presence was requested at international rock festivals, while they appeared on the cover of Time magazine’s Canadian edition and earned Grammy nods.

Commercially and critically successful, the group waited three years to produce their next album, which appeared in 2007. Unlike most outfits who earn commercial exposure overtime, Arcade Fire didn’t Levitra Professional abandon the dedication that brought them fame and ended up tour more than 120 shows in a year. That enthusiasm hasn’t stopped as the group based in Montreal prepares for their third release.
