Coral Castle

Genius, Ed Leedskalnin, sculpted over 1,100 tons of coral rock into a “fantasy world carved out of stone”. This is a feat in itself, but our bizarre craftsman also created this unique masterpiece using only homemade tools. The castle is affectionately referred to as “America’s Stonehenge” and was built as a love letter to Leedskalnin’s soulmate, Agnes Scuffs, who abandoned him at the altar and left him eternally heartbroken.

Wonderworks

Another unique and fantastical experience in Florida is Wonderworks, billed as “Orlando’s only upside-down attraction!” Contained within its boundaries are over 100 interactive exhibits that range from the thrilling to the bizarre. There is a mammoth laser tag arena and amazing virtual reality sports. If you have ever wanted to know what it feels like to be caught in a natural disaster, then take a trip in the hurricane or the earthquake simulator. In this great virtual arena anything is possible, and lying on a bed of nails is only a few buttons away!

African Queen

Are you a classic film lover? Then get yourself to the marina at Key Largo where a cinematic treat awaits you in the form of a famous boat. Sitting on the waters at the marina is the original boat used in the 1951 classic film, ‘The African Queen’. This movie great was directed by legendary film director, John Huston, and starred such film icons as Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hepburn and Robert Morley. Weeki Wachee Springs

Believe in mermaids? Have some underwater fun in Weeki Wachee Springs, Florida.
