It is not easy to identify the sources of stress because many of them are not obvious. In order to be able to identify these sources, an individual should carefully observe his actions, attitudes, and the environment he is in. Even if you identified the sources of your stress, until you accept that you are in this situation, you will not be able to handle the stress right. You should be able to manage stress by doing the following. This can help a lot especially to the married people.

You should know your limitations. You cannot do all things so you should not accept a lot of work and you must have time for your body to rest. This happens a lot in married couples’ lives especially when the husband have lots of demands to the wife. Learn to help each other and understand them by knowing each others’ strengths and weaknesses.

In connection with knowing your limitations, you should be open to your partner about certain things especially the things that can bring out stress. You should talk with your partner and let him understand that you cannot do all things and you also have to rest. Good communication can lessen the stress you are experiencing. It will also help in understanding each other.

When you face problems which can really cause stress to you, you should be to adapt to the situation by changing your attitude about the problem. Thus, you won’t get affected that much. Learn to divert your attention from a stressful situation into less stressing one. Focus your attention to other things rather than trying to solve the problem immediately. You should always allot some time for you to relax.

An individual should be able to know and apply these principles because if not, the worst case is you and your partner might have more misunderstandings and disagreements which may then lead you to decide to get separated or even get a divorce.
