God\’s Son in the TANAKH

In Kethuvim (Proverbs) 30:1-5 it says

“The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, [man of ] Massa; The speech of the man to Ithiel, to Ithiel and Ucal: I am brutish, less than a man; I lack common sense. I have not learned wisdom, nor do I possess knowledge of the Holy One. Who has ascended heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hand? Who has wrapped the waters in his garment? Who has established all the extremities of the earth? What it his name or his son’s name, if you know it? Every word of God is pure, A shield to those who take refuge in Him.”

Notice in verse 4 “Who is his name or his son’s name?” This is referring to no other than Shaddai, the Lord Himself and his son the Messiah, who by being a son of the Lord is God also. If you compare this with Kethuvim (Job) 38-39, especially Job 38: 8-9 It is only God who can hold the sea in his garment, which he holds in the clouds. In Job 38:4 God asks Job: “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundations? Speak if you have understanding.” So God does have a Son.

It says in Proverbs 30:1 that the speaker “does not possess Knowledge of the Holy One”. But the speaker correctly says that “Every word of God is pure, a shield to those who take refuge in Him.” So the speaker is wise. It has been said that those who recognize how little they know about God, know more than those who think they know everything.
