Galicia is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Spain. Bordering on Portugal to the south, it has become one of the more popular locations for people looking to steer clear of the tourist-heavy locations such as Madrid and Barcelona. With a mixture of both local cuisine and the traditional food you would associate with Spanish dining, there is truly something for everybody to enjoy – including couples, families, and even people looking to get a way on their own for a while.

There is a long and interesting history associated with Galicia, albeit it a bit of a violent one, but it makes the place have a certain ‘feel’ that makes it so special and respected. There is a fantastic coastline with absolutely stunning beaches across the coast front, with many bars and restaurants where you can sit back and admire some of the beautiful views while you unwind and recharge your batteries.

Along with the typical things to do associated with holidaying, there is also mountains and protected national parks that add to the beauty of the landscape, making it a great place to take a walk and enjoy some time together with your partner or family.

Summer is fast approaching, and Galicia is an area of Spain that you should definitely be looking at in Europe. Good food, great views, and an all round fantastic family holidaying location.
