Each individual sidewall consists of a different eave height that causes the roof to slope from side to side. The roof is asymmetrical and does not need a high pitch.

The storage that is found under the eaves of structures with a tall roof pitch is not used for several types of businesses, so an increased roof slope is usually unnecessary. The cost-effectiveness of this particular design actually comes from greatly reducing large amounts of unused space.

Another benefit from a single slope steel framed structure is the minimal amount of materials needed. Less is spent on steel because the roof pitch height is minimal. Using less materials assures lower cooling and heating costs due to a smaller building size. Some prefer this design to others because lower stance is more appealing. Single sloped steel frame structures even offer more savings because the back part of the slope needs no colored panel. Depending on the use for the building, metal buildings offer a variety of frames.
