You want it to be of decent quality so it can endure for a long time and sound alright, but there’s a big increase in cost anytime you’re buying instruments of higher grade. Finally, buying a musical instrument takes time and patience. Some people take years to find their baby, and try on dozens of fine instruments before making their selection. And nobody buys a kit after only playing it once. So if it’s your first one and you’re entering this new world of music then you can buy a decent starters one and feel good about it, but be more deliberate for later purchases.
