A Luxurious Stay by the Beach at the Hotel Arts

Situated by the beach at the heart of the Olympic Port, the Hotel Arts (operated by the Ritz Carlton group) is one of the most symbolic luxury hotels in Barcelona. The 44-story high building comprises 483 modern rooms entirely renovated in 2006 and whose sea views, we must admit, are pretty much unbeatable in town.

Its premium location in Barceloneta will make it ideal for you to enjoy the beach during the day and go out to the restaurants and clubs situated nearby at night. When the time comes for dinner, do not hesitate to try the Enoteca restaurant inside the hotel for delicious cuisine and wine. The Michelin start earned by the prestigious chef (Paco Perez) is a guarantee for you that very little can go wrong. If you feel slightly more adventurous, walk a few steps away from the Hotel Arts and try Bestial to get the chance to eat at the edge of the beach.

At the same time, keep in mind that you will be no more than 10 minutes away from the very centre of the city where you will find all of the main attractions and stores.

As you should expect in any luxury hotel, the rooms are spacious and elegant. The bathroom is particularly remarkable and comfortable thanks to the hydro-shower cabin you will be delighted to use after a long day of sightseeing in town. Of course, upgrading to the Executive Club for greater privacy and service will only make the experience even more pleasant.

While particularly comfortable in the inside, the Hotel Arts is also a great place to relax outdoor. Visit one of the multiple terraces for a coffee or a snack in the sun or head to the outdoor pool for a refreshing swim in the summer. Even though the beach is nearby, it might be more peaceful and comfortable for you to lie down by the hotel pool during the hot summer months rather than try to find a small spot for your towel on the beach.

Another aspect of the Hotel Arts we particularly enjoyed is world-class service offered by the concierge (Carlos) and his team, treating each and every customer with great care. Nevertheless, one might deplore that such a luxurious hotel does not invest in additional staff to reduce the minor delays when it comes to checking in or getting your luggage.

Overall, our review of the Hotel Arts remains mostly very positive. Not as trendy as the recently opened Hotel W nearby, the Hotel Arts is still a haven of luxury in a less ostentatious and more conservative manner.

Interesting fact: it was listed among the top 10 hotels to spot celebrities.
