The review mentioned sweetness and spice in the first third, coffee, cocoa, and nuts in the second, and more coffee notes in the third, with a finish that was earthy. The burn was described as being slightly uneven, the draw as providing some (but not too much) resistance, and the ash as never falling.

The reviewer also enthused about the solid ash and the smooth, creamy smoke from the very beginning. There was some change to the flavor as the smoke progressed.

In the last part of the smoke, the review remarked that early notes of woodiness evolved into a distinctive oak. This reviewer was overwhelmingly positive, and even said that it is one of the best cigars he had smoked all year.
