How Medical Scrubs Came About

It has been shown that surgeries were practiced in ancient civilizations. What began as a rather barbaric way of treating injuries, has evolved into the vast amount of knowledge known to man. Today, the idea of medical scrubs have come a long way. They are not only functional but comfortable. Although mostly green scrubs are used in the operating suite, in other areas of the medical field, the sky is the limit. The change is trendy and dramatic and everyone enjoys them.

As well as being attractive, the medical wear of today is even available with anti-microbial properties. It is a great aid in protecting both the patient and the professional from being contaminated with bacteria. The ones worn today supply the utmost in fashion and comfort, while supplying a great need in regard to sterility.

Not all scrubs are treated in this manner as they are not generally needed in every area of office or hospital care. The new patterns are designed for a great fit that eliminates bagging and gaping. Gone are the days of the stark whites that seemed to instill the threat of painful procedures. What used to only be worm in a hospital setting can now be worn as street wear. The individual personality of each medical professional is allowed to be seen by all.
