Why Choose a Medical Profession

Entering a medical profession is never easy. Let’s face it. The fact that you need to spend longer years at school is already stressful. The medical world is full of complexities. You can’t simply offer a medicine to a patient without having the right knowledge. How would you tell that it is the right medicine if you are not even done with the check-up? This is why you need to be competent if you want to be a health care provider. But, why should you choose this profession?

With all the difficulties, why is that many upcoming freshmen college students still want to be part of the medical world? We are always affected by ads, news media and sheer availability when choosing a path to our future careers. There are times that we can’t decide on our own. It is difficult to choose the right way for us. Yet, there are good reasons why I think you should prefer a medical profession more than anything else. This might not be the best career. Yet, it is noble. It is beyond compare. It requires an exceptional you.

Some of us prefer a medical profession because of the ever changing technology. The technology today is not just plain and simple. The advances are forever changing. It affects even our own lives. If you like the greatest job security then you can take medicine. Way back 20 years ago, a doctor still needs to perform a number of risky procedures using complicated tools. He still needs to give you a week or two before everything is done. Today, an operation can be done simpler using a laser or more upgraded tools. Modern equipment is always available. Facilities are impressive. These improvements are the products of technology. And, they are here to stay in the world of medicine. That spells better job security. So, no matter how the world innovates, the medical world still moves up and forward.

How do you rate medical practitioners? Do you think they are all well-trained? Health care providers produced during the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and even 80’s were not so competent when compared with the present groups. Their bodies are slowly deteriorating. They are not that upgraded when it comes to the use of technology. This is why the quality of services given is not that good too. If you choose a medical profession then you might largely contribute. The supply of medical care providers can’t keep up with the demand. So, extend your help. Walk in a hospital with your diploma and for sure, you’ll be accepted. The lack of well-trained medical professionals is a problem. This is why you can decide to choose medicine.

If you are a human right activist then you are fit to practice a medical profession. The basic human right is the right to life, liberty and happiness. What a privilege it would be if you are given the chance to save lives and heal the sick. Yes, you receive your pay after all the services. Yet, the care you give is beyond compare. What else makes you hesitate? Do I need to say more?
