Christmas Gifts 2012

Each year it seems to get harder and harder to find presents which will stand out from the usual selection of socks, smellies and comedy DVDs. Children are easy, there are new toys released every year and you can guarantee that they will want them all! The problem is what do you get for older friends and family?

Personalised Glasses

Whether it is a champagne flute, shot glass or wine goblet, there are a range of glasses available, all of which can be engraved with a name, date, message or even a picture of your choice. You could even buy a set rather than just the one.

Personalised Alcohol

As well as buying them a personalised glass, how about a bottle of wine, champagne, vodka or whisky to go with it? Alternatively you can buy a personalised set with both a glass and a bottle in. Obviously the actual bottle and its contents are not personalised, but instead the label which is stuck on the bottle is. Once the drink has been consumed, the bottle can be kept.

If the recipient isn’t old enough to drink alcohol or just doesn’t drink alcohol, there are still other options available.

Personalised Phone Cases

Everyone has a mobile phone nowadays, so how about getting them a personalised phone case? You could give them a phone case with either a photo printed on it or an iconic design with their name printed on it. Personalised phone cases are available for most phones; the problem is that if they change their phone, the cover will not fit anymore.

Personalised Canvas

Canvases are very popular with most people as they provide an alternative to standard printed photographs. There are a wide range of canvases available on the high street that you can purchase, however they will be the same as what everyone else has up in their house. There are plenty of options for getting a canvas printed with a photo of your choice online. Alternatively, rather than having a photo printed, there are lots of different design which you can edit with your own text or by adding names to it.

Personalised Silverware

Money boxes, cufflinks and jewellery are just a few of the pieces of silverware which can easily be engraved to provide a personalised gift. Each of these can be engraved with whatever you want, for example if you get a money box for a newborn baby you might have it engraved with “Happy 1st Christmas – 2012”.

Whatever type of gift you decide to buy for, you may find that it is not only easier and more convenient to order online, but it is also cheaper as well. The only downside is that you will not get to see the gift until it is delivered. You also need to ensure that all the information that you have given them is correct, including spelling of names, dates and if you have supplied them with any photos, ensure that it is good enough quality for the size that it is going to be printed at.
