Las Vegas Travelers Enjoy Tours to the Grand Canyon

If you go to Vegas, you will find so many things to do there, you may not want to go anywhere else. Don\’t make that mistake. No trip to Las Vegas would be complete without paying a visit to the magnificent Grand Canyon. I guarantee you\’ll be thrilled if you add the canyon to your list of things to see.

You can see the canyon in several ways include tour by plane, chopper or bus. Those three choices are the most popular for vacationers in Vegas based upon cost and time to spend. If you can spend all day, then a bus tour is ideal, but if you are short on time, choose a helicopter or airplane tour. Bus tours are the cheapest, helicopter tours are the most expensive, and airplane tours fall in between.

While bus tours are great for people on tight budgets, they are also ideal for people who don\’t want to fly. Bus tours go to the West Rim and the South Rim. The South Rim is farther away and takes 5 hours to get to but the West Rim is only about 2 hours away. However, both of then last longer than 12 hours from beginning to end. Since they last so long, you don\’t want to make dinner reservations for the same evening.

Chopper tours of the Grand Canyon are probably the most exciting and provide you with a thrilling adventure. Helicopter tours depart from Vegas and go to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon every day except Christmas Day. If you want to take a chopper tour of the South Rim, you won\’t be able to fly there directly from Las Vegas since it is so far, instead you can book a combo tour that takes you from Vegas to the canyon by bus or plane. The plane will provide the quickest and most convenient option. It takes 5 hours to get to the South Rim by bus, but only 45 minutes to get there by plane.

You can choose a landing copter tour or an air-only flight. Landing tours land on top of the canyon, except at the West Rim where they can descend to the floor below. They also let you add extra experiences like passes to the Grand Canyon Skywalk or a float trip down the Colorado River. I always suggest landing tours for travelers with the time and budget. They provide a more fulfilling, comprehensive canyon experience. Landing isn\’t necessary though, you can still enjoy this majestic wonder from the air by taking in the awesome scenery from a bird\’s eye view.

If you opt for an airplane tour, you can also choose a landing or air-only option. If you are short on time, then the airplane is the fastest way to get the Grand Canyon. The airplanes usually hold about nineteen people so they are large and comfortable. They are designed for the purpose of sightseeing. Their windows are huge and the wings are connected on top of the plane so they don\’t get in the way of the view.

If you are vacationing with a group of friends or large family, going by airplane is probably best. The plane tours cost less and they hold more people because only six can fly on a helicopter at one time. You can usually get your whole group on the same airplane, even if you go during peak travel months.

A Las Vegas Grand Canyon tour includes complimentary hotel pickup and drop-off, lunch (except air-only chopper and plane flights), the services of a highly trained guide, and all taxes and park fees. You don\’t need to worry about planning the details. Being all-inclusive, the tours provide all you need at a great value. Tours to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas are wonderful experiences no matter what type you choose and you definitely want to go on one.
