Spirituality Through A Course In Miracles

Man is a tri-part being, comprised of the spirit, the soul and the body. In order to survive, we need to have a balance of these three parts. However, many pay too much attention on the body and the soul but not on the spirit. A Course In Miracles opens the way for a person to get in touch with his spirituality. The material introduces the person to the spiritual realm.

It\’s ironic to think how people often neglect their spiritual life, and yet seek to find answers concerning the supernatural. No matter how much we deny it, there\’s always something in us that will really find a way to connect to the spiritual. Sometimes, we connect with it through superstitious beliefs, through spiritual beings like angels or dark angels. But most of the time, we connect with the spiritual by getting to know a deity.

People have different views when it comes to worship and deities. The Hindus have quite a number of deities. The Chinese have Buddha, and the list just goes on. But A Course In Miracles, introduces the one true Deity which is Jesus, or Yeshua. Through Jesus, we get connected to the real spirituality.

Furthermore, the material does not only introduce Jesus, but it also introduces another persona who serves as Guide, Comforter and Friend. That persona is the Holy Spirit. He is the one who convicts, thereby keeping one\’s conscience free from stain. He makes a person right before God by convicting him/her of the things the he/she should not be doing. He is the person that makes us more spiritual.

In general, the human person is always in search of these spiritual things because whether we like it or not, we are tri-part beings. One aspect of one\’s self is dependent on the other. The spirit and the soul of the person need the spiritual to stay up and with a clear conscience. The body and the spirit need the soul to feel. And the spirit and the soul need the body to be able to go about in the world.

Altogether, these three make a person alive. When one of these three is wounded and hurt, the other two are affected. Let\’s take for example the soul, when the soul is hurt, like when the heart gets broken, all the other two suffer along with it. This is characterized by feelings of laziness, inactivity, and overall lethargy. The body feels heavy when the soul is hurt, and the spirit feels down as well.

So since this is so, we should always keep in mind that the spiritual is just as important as the body and soul. It is even more important because the spirit is eternal. How you live it at present will surely have an effect on the future. If we care enough for our body, which is temporal, how much more should we be giving more importance to our spirit which is eternal. A Course In Miracles will help a seeker find his/her way towards spirituality.
