Want Earn Money Through Internet? Two Things to Avoid Like the Plague

One way or another, different may be the circumstances, people look to earn money through Internet. They want to make extra money to supplement their income or even want to replace their job with an online business, the best business considered by almost everybody: no boss, no commuting, no schedule, work anywhere.

Unfortunately to earn money through Internet is regarded by many as an easy venture. The thread goes something like: decide on a product, have a website (owned or not), be online and wait for things to materialize.

This picture may sound pretty extreme, but it is still common belief for a \”newbie\”. How is this thinking possible and why is it still happening?Although the newcomer falls for this fantasy, it affects even the more advanced online marketer.

I don\’t know which of these evils are met first. Practically everyone on the internet is or can be vulnerable to them.

1. Information Overload

It is true that to operate on the internet you got to have some expertise. Although some basic technical knowledge is desirable, you don\’t really need to be at the level of a computer programmer. Don\’t have the techie stuff take the toll, hours and days, away from your objective. The simple solution: keep your plan simple, just what is needed to make a start, or outsource your project.

But that, bad as it is, is not the heart of the problem. There is so much in strategies and tactics to learn and apply. You can get a visual idea in Rich Schefren’s Internet business manifesto of how vast the marketing strategies are on the internet. It is shocking and depressing. It can take a lifetime to absorb and apply all the knowledge. Besides, you are presented and exposed to so many \”sure\” ways programs, and a new and better one appears all the time… And the cycle may repeat over and over. You may find yourself in the perennial quest of trying to sort out the way, the best shortest and least painful way to succeed online.

2. Marketing hype

It\’s omnipresent on the internet. The best application, I think, is in those beautifully choreographed long sale pages, even filled with testimonials. They generally have an urgency theme. I used to read them all as they told just what I wanted to hear. They really made me feel good, because I finally had found a breakthrough…

My first thought about these magical discoveries is: \”Why the authors (sellers) don\’t apply the formula themselves? Why the need to put such an effort convincing others. In some cases, they profess as being motivated by a genuine desire to help the struggling. Yeah… believe it!

The sensational has been the trend and it seems the norm now. Unfortunately, it\’s becoming apparent that even the legitimate deserving products and services are felt pushed to some exaggerations.

How to survive and really earn money through Internet

As for the information overload, just recognize the fact that too much at once is not possible. You really do not have to become an internet expert to reach your goal. You can aim for the stars, but you have to start on the ground. Break down your learning in small pieces . It\’s the classic example that \”Rome was not built in a day\” and \”how to eat an elephant\”.

Yet, the choice of what to go after (your goal) can be the greatest starting obstacle. Like anybody, you are exposed to so many programs, undoubtedly some worthwhile. You may feel like at a point with so many crossroads.

You may even take the good \”internet\” road, but you may find detours and even bandits, that will rob you. It\’ll take time, if you ever reach your destination.

There is a better solution and I end the metaphor here. Follow someone who has already traveled the road and is successful.

Hire him or her. It\’ll cost you, it\’s true, not that much though. You can consider it an investment in yourself. But how much more money and time would you spend possibly in your search

Instead, You\’ll be on a well safe traveled road, learning and acting just on the information you need, insensitive of the constant marketing hypes.
