Houston Craziest Nightclub Your Friends Ditch You At

First off, let me say that I will never let my friends talk me into doing this again. Second, it is getting to call them my friends when they keep doing stuff like this to me. You have probably had a similar situation where you have gone out with your friends, the evening goes on, you all kind of drift apart looking for other people, and then all of a sudden it’s 3 AM and you are looking to leave and your friends are nowhere to be found. Unfortunately, it has happened to me – a lot. No matter how much I love the night life in Houston, I will never again go to the crazy nightclub where my friends ditched me.

Honestly, I don’t even remember the place that clearly, but if I ever saw the inside of it again, it would likely send shivers down my spine. Don’t get me wrong, it looks like a great place when you walk up to the front – a well-dressed bouncer, velvet ropes, a clean exterior, good music pumping outside – but once you get inside, it just seemed crazy to me.

Maybe it was just all those drink specials they kept handing us. The drinks kind of glowed in the dark with this weird blue color. They tasted good going down – maybe too good since I lost count of how I had drunk. I do clearly remember sitting down in a booth though watching my friends dancing. That’s when the trouble started.

Everything started to get a little fuzzy after that. I put my head down for a minute (well, what I thought was a minute anyway) to rest. When I lifted my head up, the dance floor seemed much emptier, it was 3 AM, and I was sitting in the booth with a guy in clown make up, a girl with a python around her neck and a midget in a marching band outfit. I thought I was dreaming.

Sadly, I wasn’t. I tried to get up, but the clown kept wanting to make balloon animals for all of us and wouldn’t move. The lady with the python kept trying to snuggle in next to me and was getting closer and closer. The midget just stood next to the table smiling at me and when he spoke, it was in German.

I crawled under the table and got away from them. I went up to the bar and noticed it was not the bartender who was originally there. This guy was dressed up like Elvis now. He smiled at me and said “Thank you very much,” pointing his fingers at me. I looked around and saw no sign of my friends.

When I raced outside, the street was empty. I staggered to where I thought our car was, which of course wasn’t there anymore. I tried calling my friends and none answered. I looked up and saw the midget walking toward me, smiling. I hailed a cab speeding by, jumped in, and got out of there. So much for night life in Houston and my wonderful friends, until next time.
