Whenever I am looking for something fun to do on the weekends and I have had enough of the dance club and bar scenes, I know it is time to go out and scout around for something that is going to make me laugh. Sometimes I want something that isn\’t just going to make me laugh; it is going to make me so hysterical that I will start crying. Now I mean crying from laughter, not the usual crying I do in my beer on a Friday night. There is plenty of nightlife out there that can do it for me.

It doesn\’t necessarily take a lot for me to get laughing this hard. Sometimes it can happen just from one of my friends doing something stupid all on his own, but it is much better if I can get it from some kind of professional entertainment. My friends are funny, but it is rarely because they intended it to be that way.

Obviously one of the best nightlife spots for this to happen at is some kind of comedy club or comedy show. Many clubs offer this particularly on the weekends. I\’m not talking about these open mike comedy nights where regular people get up and try to be funny. It is usually too painful to watch something like that.

What I am really talking about are professional comics that you would gladly pay the cover charge to see. Many of them can come up with great bits and routines that have me leaving feeling out of breath and tears running down my face. If you are really luckily, you can catch a big headline comedian at one of the local clubs on the weekends and really have a good time.

So you say you don\’t have the money to go to one of these expensive comedy shows. Well, if it\’s because you don\’t have it or if you are too cheap to lay it out, then you need to find something else that can make you laugh this hard. Surprisingly, there are some things that you can do that don\’t cost you anything at all and can provide a lot of laughter for you.

Granted, it\’s not the greatest way to spend an evening, but going people watching at the mall or in the park leads to more laughs than you would believe. It can be fun just to watch how people react to the environment around them in these places, to see how young people deal with and talk to each other and to watch fall all kinds of bloopers and blunders to occur while you look on with a well concealed adult beverage in your cup.

There\’s nothing having a really good laugh to help you enjoy the nightlife even more. All the laughing I do at these places helps me get beyond the miserable times I have had at some of my nighttime experiences when I could be crying for completely different reasons. Don\’t feel bad for me though; I might be that guy laughing at you when that dog in the park pees on your leg.
