How Big is Consciousness?

All humans distort reality. This is really an unintentional and unconscious activity. Our physical senses (taste, smell, sight, touch and hearing) are not to blame. They have no biases. Our five senses are merely conduits between us and the larger environment we experience. We perceive our world to be a certain way when it is, in fact, quite different. Because we are viewing the world through several filters, we can only guess at the true nature of reality. Reality itself is the mystery of mysteries.

The average person does not ponder reality. Most people will tell you that such contemplation is a waste of precious time. For those with a penchant for metaphysics, the nature of reality is a serious pursuit. Uncovering the true nature of reality is one step away from learning the meaning of life. While such a discovery may not make you rich, it will drastically alter your belief system.

One metaphysical realization that came to me, through divine illumination, concerns the size of the human consciousness. Consciousness is our true identity. After the physical body and all its layers have been cast off, consciousness is to be found. Consciousness is pure awareness and nothing more.

Since the astral form is the energetic manifestation of consciousness, we are left wondering where consciousness exists. Consciousness cannot be confined to time and space. It can exist anywhere at any time. At times, consciousness may choose to inhabit a human body. We should remember that consciousness animates matter, and all physical things contain consciousness.

Most of us suppose that our consciousness is the same size as our bodies. This is a popular notion. However, this idea is not much different from our ancestors who believed the Earth was flat. In the same way, we assume that our consciousness could not be bigger, or smaller than our bodies. This is because we identify ourselves with our bodies. Without the use of internal senses, we cannot see the deeper layers of ourselves.

Consciousness is elusive. Although our consciousness is constantly expanding through the experiential process, it has no proportion or mass and cannot be defined through scientific inquiry. Nor does it have a true body, though through its unlimited power, consciousness can manufacture one. This makes us wonder how something can exist without form or substance. Consciousness uses matter as a covering to make physical reality possible.

Consciousness dwells in the smallest possible unit. While it exists as vibrational energy, consciousness manifests as atoms. Therefore, consciousness can be seen as existing on the atomic level. So consciousness is really the size of an atom along with its neutrons, protons, and electrons. Conscious beings come together to form structures such as the human body.

While the consciousness can be any size or shape, and is not restricted by dimensional rules, I would suggest that human consciousness is no bigger than an atom. I realize this statement may confuse us or deflate our ego. We like to think we are big. However, when it comes to consciousness, size does not matter. The human spirit is the lead conscious entity in the body. I call it the “super mind.” All other beings support the super mind and make its experience possible.

I admit this Atomic Consciousness Theory is purely inspirational. I am passing on what I have received as from higher spheres, in an attempt to encourage our metaphysical thinking.
