– Find out the best time to star gaze. For example late June is the best time to observe the brightest and best globular clusters in the northern sky.

– Finally if you really want to escape from it all then why not launch yourself into space, the cheap way. On a clear night, go to top of the highest point around, away from any light pollution. Lie down and look up, then let your imagination take over.
