Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours Black Friday Flight Discounts

The Black Friday shopping holiday is coming up and anyone seriously looking for discounts on Grand Canyon helicopter tours should be prepared to book their flight that weekend as prices will be super cheap.

How to Buy

To get the best deals on air tours during Black Friday, you\’ve got to book online. That\’s where we\’ll be posting the best offers on the top tours. However, in order to qualify for the deal, you\’ve got to book it online.

Blowout prices will be offered on select flights from Las Vegas, NV, and Tusayan, AZ, which is also known as the South Rim of the National Park. Special pricing will apply to both all-air and landing trips.

If doing a Vegas tour, I personally recommend taking a landing tour, specifically the one that goes to the bottom for a picnic and Champagne. The reason this is so special is that you can only fly below the rim and land from Vegas.

Side Trips

Moreover, this landing tour can upgraded to include some really cool side trips like a boat cruise down the Colorado River and a VIP pass to the Grand Canyon Skywalk, which is a glass bridge that suspends you 4,000 feet over the bottom.

South Rim helicopters are either all-air or can be combined with a Jeep tour. The air tours range in length from 30-minutes to 50-minutes. Frankly, the 50-minute tour is the way to go because you get to see and do a lot more and that\’s why it\’s the better value.

The Jeep/heli option comes with a 30-minute helicopter ride that goes from South Rim to North Rim. After the flight, transfer to a Jeep and do a 2.5-hour tour inside the National Park after you watch an awesome screening of the Canyon inside the IMAX Theater!

Types of Tours

There are two kinds of tours: Basic and deluxe. The primary difference is the kind of helicopter used. For example, basic trips use the Bell Ranger or the AStar helicopter, while the deluxe uses the superior EcoStar 130.

Obviously, I prefer deluxe because it uses the EcoStar. And what makes the EcoStar so much better is that it\’s 25 percent bigger than the other choppers. This extra size allows this aircraft to be outfitted with stadium-style seats and a 180-degree windshield, among other things.

Please note that we are deep into fall so temperatures are cooling off nicely. This is especially true at the South Rim because it\’s situated at an elevation of 7,000 feet. The West Rim, which is closest to Vegas, is a bit trickier because it can still get quite warm but that should diminish as we push further to winter.

Conclusion

I hope this article on Black Friday and Grand Canyon helicopter tours was helpful as you plan your trip. From Vegas, I\’m a huge fan of the landing tour that goes to the base for Champagne. From South Rim, I\’m all about the 50-minute all-air tour. And remember: To get that Black Friday deal, you\’ve got to complete your booking online in order to qualify.
