Chicago Bulls Playoff Tickets – Bulls Impressive in Stretch Run to Reach Playoffs

Everyone knows that the Chicago Bulls are in a precarious position in the first round against the Cleveland Cavaliers. No one is likely to give them a shot at winning the series. Many don’t even expect them to win a game. But as arduous as the series is likely to be for the Bulls, their Levitra Soft”>Kamagra Soft resiliency down the stretch to even make the playoffs is worthy of attention, and the scrappy Bulls can’t be completely discounted from making the series interesting. With Derrick Rose coming into his own down the stretch of the regular season and Joakim Noah already playing better than many thought he was capable of in the NBA, the Bulls are a nice young team with a bright future ahead of them. Together, Noah and Rose will certainly will help sell Chicago Bulls Playoff tickets.

With the Bulls flailing in early- to mid-March due to a plethora of injuries, they looked dead in the water, even in the hapless Eastern Conference. As Noah, Rose and Luol Deng all struggled with injuries during the final 20 games of the regular season, they lost 10 straight games from Feb. 27 through March 19. Even the most optimistic Chicago fan at that point would be forgiven for looking forward to baseball season. But when Noah came back from injury, the fortunes of the Bulls changed dramatically.

Noah was a beast down the stretch, averaging 13.4 rebounds per game in April in a series of must-win games. Noah even picked up his scoring and shot-blocking, averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game and 13.8 points a contest in the final month of the regular season. Rose also outperformed his usual scoring average, putting up 25.4 points per game in April and pouring in 39 points in huge game against the Celtics in the second-to-last game of the regular season. Though the Bulls certainly benefitted from the plight of the Toronto Raptors, who lost Chris Bosh in the final weeks of the season, the Bulls proved capable of outperforming expectations.

The effort by Rose also didn’t go without notice. Recent Hall of Fame inductee Scottie Pippen told reporters that he felt Rose took the next step in his development and has taken over the leadership role for the franchise. When looking at Rose’s season, it’s hard to argue. With a very inconsistent and oft-injured supporting cast, Rose still led the Bulls to a 41-41 record in just his second season in the NBA, averaging more than 20 points per game and six assists a game in the process. Considering he’s arguably the most athletic point guard in the league and has the tendency to step up in clutch situations, the Bulls do certainly seem to have the pieces to build towards in the future.

Next season, the Bulls’ fortunes look to get even better as the Eastern Conference will likely continue to decline, opening the door for other teams to rise to the top. The Boston Celtics have clearly been eroding over the past couple of seasons and this will likely be the last season for a while that they will host a playoff series in the first round. The Atlanta Hawks will likely lose their best player, Joe Johnson, this offseason to free agency and the Milwaukee Bucks may or may not have the talent to rise to the top of the conference. Add in the fact that there is a legitimate possibility that LeBron James could move to the West and it’s easy to see that next season could look very different for the Eastern Conference, and the Bulls are just a solid piece away from capitalizing.

But for the Bulls, their season is also not over – not yet, anyway. Against the powerhouse Cavs, they still have an opportunity to prove that they are worthy of reaching the playoffs and it’s also crucial to get Rose and Noah some more time in the postseason, even if they are likely to end up on the losing end.
