I don’t know about you, but I’m not really up with all of this modern stuff. Sometimes it seems like we take steps backwards rather than forwards. For instance I had a lighting problem the other day and someone suggested that I went out and purchased some candle globes. Now forgive me for saying this and looking slightly stupid, but when this person first suggested this to me I had no idea what candle globes were.

My second question to them was why should I go out and purchase candle globes when I could illuminate my room with light bulbs instead. The final reason that my friend offered to me was more of a sensual reason. They said that lighting candle globes would not only help to provide the room with a nice smell, it would also provide a very romantic atmosphere for the room. In the end I caved in and decided to purchase some of these candle globes, I always think that you should criticise something unless you have tried it.

I dotted some of them around the house and decided I would live the evenings by candle light. It is amazing what a difference it makes to your outlook on things. Suddenly the room become much left of a harsh place illuminated by bright lights and harsh edges, it seemed as though the room suddenly became alive with the flame light flickering off the walls and also it provided a warm and comfortable feeling or security. It was amazing at home just simple tasks like listening to some music or watching a favourite television show took on a whole new meaning with just a few candles in the room.

So it seems that my friend wasn’t wrong after all and now I’m preaching the benefits of having candles in your home.
